Carol is in peak form for Nepal challenge Sep 13 2006

Crewe Chronicle A KEEP-FIT fanatic is asking for sponsorship ahead of the North West Triathlon at Nantwich this Sunday. Carol Platt, 42, who lives at Wistaston, hopes to raise at least £600 so she can afford a trip to Mera Peak in Nepal next March where she will be working to improve the daily lives of residents. The assistant guider at Bradfield Road Brownies in Crewe will join fellow Guide workers on a three-week trek and week-long community project at the Kakani International Training Centre where they will assist Nepal Scouts. Carol, who is a personal assistant at Bombardier’s Crewe Works, said: ‘The triathlon will really help my fitness and keeps the money coming into the Nepal fund. ‘If any local businesses can help with medical supplies or teaching resources or in any other way they can I would appreciate that.’

Scouting Spirit

Scouting Spirit

I’ve got that Scouting spirit,
Up in my head,
Up in my head,
Up in my head,
I’ve got that Scouting spirit,
Up in my head,
Up in my head to stay.

I’ve got that Scouting spirit,
Deep in my heart
continue as in first verse

I’ve got that Scouting spirit,
Down in my feet
continue as in first verse

I’ve got that Scouting spirit,
All over me
continue as in first verse

I’ve got that Scouting spirit,
Up in my head,
Deep in my heart,
Down in my feet,
I’ve got that Scouting spirit,
All over me,,
All over me to stay.
