Nepal Scout ad hoc team constituted [ 2007-1-19 ]

KATHMANDU, Jan. 18: Chief Scout of Nepal Scout, Chairperson of National Council and Minister for Education and Sports Prof. Dr. Mangal Siddhi Manandhar has formed National Scout Ad-hoc Committee under Nepal Scout Act 2050 BS including Amendment � 2063 BS.

Chief Commissioner Shree Ram Lamichhane has been deputed as Coordinator of the Committee and Bharat Lal Shrestha (Lalitpur), Ram Gopal Karmacharya (Bhaktapur), Chandra Dev Lal Koushik (Dhanusha), Sudha Regmi (Surkhet), Chandra Kala Pant (Kanchanpur), Shiv Kurar Poudyal (Jhapa), Rajuraja Singh (Jajarkot), Manju Upadhyaya (Aryal) (Gorkha), Tirtha Neupane (Chitawan), Suvarna Shrestha (Doti) and Legal Officer and Representative of Ministry of Education and Sports are nominated as members in the Committee.

Hikking programme was held in Bhaktapur. 44 patrols from 15 troops had participated in which 35 rover ranger from 4 rover crew have participated with 15 scout master participant from different troops. Altogther there was about 400 scouts were involved in the hiking program. This program was organized by the District scout office, Bhaktapur. The hiking program was  started at 8:00 am  morning by gathering at districe scouts office premises. The hiking program inculdes tea prepration, luncha prepration and finally the ending program at the camp place in the chongga ganesh place in Bhaktapur.
